The AYRS is a club for all those interested in the technical side of recreational boating – i.e. research and development, design, making boats and boating equipment, both by amateurs and by professionals. Although we seem to be known for publishing articles about advanced concepts and sometimes strange concepts, we are keen to also be a club for builders of more conventionally designed boats. We are dedicated to finding out how to make recreational boating better, i.e. faster, more fun, more comfortable, more affordable – indeed, whatever you want it to be.
