Outing on the Basingstoke Canal

For the last few years we have followed a Saturday November meeting at the Basingstoke Canal Centre with a canal outing on the Sunday of the weekend.   Only two of us took part last year but we did have a nice cruise from Crookham to the Barley Mow pub for lunch, then return.   We were lucky to enjoy bright sunshine and the canal looked pretty with the autumn leaves.  Subject to weather at the time, we propose to do something similar this year.  We may choose a different route this time, this can be discussed at our meeting at the BCC the day before.

This would be suitable for canoes, rowboats, small motor boats, I think also stand up paddle-boards, but not boats with masts since there are overhanging trees and low  bridges. Or you could take a stroll along the towpath and join us for a pub lunch.
