Registration of new users

The forum has been flooded with bogus registrations from spambots (programs scouring the internet looking for places to leave advertisements). Although their accounts are never activated and the spam itself has never made it past the moderators, they clog up the database and becuase there can be dozens per day, are time-consuming to delete.

As I havn't yet found a solution for this, I have temporarly switched self-registration off completely. If you wish to post on the forum, please write to webadmin@ayrs.org and I'll try to set up an account for you manually. Theo Schmidt
