Not-so-happy New Year

Post by AYRS Secretary »

AYRS regrets to have to announce that Fred Ball, AYRS Chairman, died on Friday 3rd January 2020. No further details are yet available.

As Fred would have wished, the all-day meeting at Thorpe Village Hall on 26th January will go ahead as planned, except that Kim Fisher will be in the chair.
The same goes for the AGM (16:15, same day and place).

Simon Fishwick

Sad news, indeed. So let me present all my sympathy to Mister Ball's family.
Wish an happy new year for all the AYRS members.
It will be a testing season for Kasala collecting data on hull resistance, rig efficiency and collect the polar curves. So hopefully you will be able to have something to include in your next Catalyst. By the way, I send to AYRS secretariat a paper on a effective sculling oar profile and I don't know if you have receive it? Could you confirm? Thanks'.

No flowers please, but donations in memoriam are invited to the RNLI or to the British Heart Foundation.
