(Updated effective Jan 9) Fred Ball, AYRS Chairman, dies.

It is with deep sorrow that AYRS has to announce that our Chairman, Fred Ball, died on Friday 3rd January 2020. 

No further details are currently forthcoming, and any that do will be posted in the AYRS’ Forum

Fred was organising and was to have chaired the All-Day Meeting in Thorpe Village Hall on 26th January. As he would have wished, the meeting will go ahead, but will be chaired by Kim Fisher.

(Update) Fred’s funeral will be held at Guildford Crematorium, on Thursday, 6th February,at 12:00 noon.

No flowers please, but donations in memoriam are invited to the RNLI or to the British Heart Foundation.

Fred’s widow has asked that people wishing to attend email her at macball @ btinternet.com, so she has some idea of numbers.
